Greeting,

We recently celebrated the 100^th day of school. On that day we did a lot of number activities. We created a linking chain of hands that included 100 colorful hands that were linked in a pattern. We created a tasty snack by counting out 10 groups of snacks with 10 snacks in each group. At the end of the day we created 3 dimensional figures using 100 marshmallows and as many toothpicks as we wanted to use.

February is one of the busiest months! So far, we have celebrated Ground Hog's Day, learned about our 16^th president, Abraham Lincoln and today we are celebrating Valentine's Day. Before the month ends we will learn about our 1st president, George Washington and a lot about dental health.

It's safe to say we are busy, busy, busy in first grade!
