Parent association meetings are the first Monday of each month (except June and July) at 7:00 pm in the High School Band Room. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend each meeting. The meetings are also listed in the schedule as well as announced in The Daily Press, local TV stations, High School Announcements, and local radio stations.

Our organization exists solely to encourage and support the musical development of our students, and to proudly display the fruits of their hard work to an appreciative public whenever possible.

We stress the values that music education offers towards the overall development of young people, and the importance of maintaining excellent music programs in our schools.

We think you will be amazed and entertained by the performances as our students show what hours and hours of hard work and dedication can accomplish.

The next time you are thinking about a "booster organization" and you focus on the "president" or "treasurer" or "chairperson" look a little closer...you will see parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, neighbors...all working together to provide support to the band during its busy season, better known as "Marching Season" and "Indoor Season".

Throughout the year, while our students laugh, complain and sometimes shed a tear, but continue to work very hard to learn drill, new music, and how to march as a unit -- look around, there is a group of "boosters" in the stands and along the sidelines who are also laughing, complaining, (and sometimes shedding a tear). But that's not their only job!!!

Props designed (and built), flags sewn (and repaired), uniforms mended (and mended, and mended), trucks loaded (and unloaded), equipment hauled on the field (and off), fundraisers, fundraisers, and more fundraisers...you know what we are talking about!!! Many of you have done them all, sometimes all at one time! There always seems to be a mountain of jobs to tackle, but with everyone working together we always somehow make each season as successful as possible.

The St. Marys Area Music Parents welcome all "music boosters" to enjoy the exciting shows this and every season. May you watch with "pride" as you listen to the music that fills your ears with a beautiful sound. And to all future "Booster Members" -- you have a tradition to uphold...but oh, what a joy it will bring to you! ENJOY!!!
