Christopher J. Gankosky

Mr. Gankosky joined the faculty at St. Marys Area High School in November of 1998. Currently he teaches instrumental music, which includes, concert, jazz, and marching bands as well as music theory and appreciation classes.

Mr. Gankosky is a 1986 graduate of Grove City College in Pennsylvania, where he received a Bachelor of Music (BM) degree in education. Before joining the staff at St. Marys, he was the instrumental and choral teacher in the Brockway Area School District for 12 years.

Mr. Gankosky currently resides in the community of St. Marys with his cat Tatiana as well as with his two dogs Nala and Taylor, the marching band mascot.

Keri J. Merklin             

Mrs. Merklin joined the faculty at St. Marys School District in September 2003. She teaches choir, show choir and independent music study at the High School. Mrs. Merklin is also the elementary music teacher at Bennett's Valley Elementary School.

Mrs. Merklin is a 2003 Cum Laude graduate of Westminster College in Pennsylvania, where she received a Bachelor of Music (BM) in education. She currently resides in the community of St. Marys.

Ann M. Defilippi           

Ms. Defilippi joined the facilitator staff at St. Marys Area High School in September of 2001. In addition to being a facilitator, she became the advisor of the Outdoor Color Guard, Indoor Color Guard and Dance Teams in September 2000. Ms. Defilippi is the Choreographer for Show Choir and the musicals at the St. Marys Area High School as well as for the Littlestown Area High School Show Choir in Littlestown, Pennsylvania.

Ms. Defilippi is a 2000 graduate of Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Broadcasting. She currently resides in the community of St. Marys.
