Mr. Henry’s Classroom Rules
Mr. Henry's science classes Course syllabus
Expectations:
Do not let the course name general science allow you to believe you are in a "low" science. This course is very challenging and the material you will be asked to learn is necessary for your upcoming years in the high school. Believe in yourself and accept the fact that this course will require work, and most of all be excited about learning. Do your best and the best will come to you. It is my goal that this be your favorite class of the day and that we both enjoy our time together.
Class Rules:
Grading:
Your grade will come from tests, quizzes, labs, homework, notebooks, etc. The assignments will have different values of points and at the end of the quarter I simply add your total up and divide by the total possible. Weekly extra credit will be available as well as a 5 point thank you for covering your book. The final will be a cumulative test on important concepts we've covered throughout the year.
Miscellaneous information:
You will be doing many group projects throughout the year where you and your partners must become accustomed to sharing the equipment and the work. If your partner lacks "enthusiasm" bring it to my attention. If you miss school it is your job to see me and find out what must be made up. Bring the following every day-book, notebook, and writing utensil. I am not a mind reader, if you are unsure of anything ask. Others will probably benefit from your question as well. In closing this year can be very enjoyable if we both respect each other. If everybody is "on board" it will be an outstanding 180 days together.
