Homework is posted in the homework section. It is very important that your child completes his/her homework every night. Everything that goes home is practice for what we are doing in class. Please help your child become responsible with their homework!

* Accelerator Reader Test:

Please have your students tell the teacher that he/she would like to take a test.

Here are some pointers to help your child succeed when taking the Accelerated Reader tests:

Select books that are at any easy level. The books to choose from our library are marked with a little blue book.
Read the books at least 3 times. Read it with an adult, read it together, read it independently.
Identify the characters and setting.
Retell the story from beginning to end.
Discuss the story in depth. Answer questions about everything you can think of.

* Please look through your child’s folder every night. There are always papers that we completed in class and also there may be a note to you that you may need to respond to.

* Encourage your child to read!! We do participate the Book-It program. Please make sure the forms are returned by the end of the month.
