Assessment Tool:** 2 facts 2 opinions, 4 reasons why.
Activity: Have students sit in a circle on the floor and play a “fact and opinion game”. The teacher would start by stating a fact and a nice opinion about the student to his or her left. (Example: “Fact- This is Jenny and she is 8 years old. Opinion- She has a beautiful smile”) “Jenny” would then state a fact and opinion about the child sitting to her left. The game would continue all the way around the circle until all students had a chance to state a fact and a nice opinion about someone.
