1. Paper/Pencil:** In what way do we demonstrate the ability to define objects, express emotions, illustrate an action or relate an experience in our work?
Answer:** By relating or illustrating our own personal experiences and lives in our work.
2. Performance Question:**Draw something that shows action or relates experiences.
Assessment Tool:**The drawing will reflect some part of their lives.
Activity: The teacher will distribute large oaktag initials of each student in the class. Students will create an “About Me” collage by cutting and pasting pictures or words from magazines that reflect their interests, hobbies, and personalities. Students will then share their “special initials” with the class then display them in the hall.
Duration: 1 hour
Resources for this activity: large sheets of oaktag, magazines, scissors, glue
