listening to The Sneetchers, the students will write a time when they
have been ridiculed, teased, or had
other hurtful behaviors done to them by classmates of friends.

Write a summary of The Sneetchers (see activity below)

Activity: Randomly selected students wear a star sticker on their
shirts. Teacher treats those students
with special attention (calling on them more, allowing them to have candy/gum,
being line leader) during the morning.
Read The Sneetchers by Dr. Suess.
Discuss how the Star Belly Sneetchers learn prejudice. What can we learn from this story about how
people behave?
