1.      Paper/Pencil:* Is this story real or make believe?  Who is the main character in the story? Retell the story in chronological order.

 

 

 

 

     Answer:  The student will tell the teacher if the story is real or make believe, name the main character in the story and cutting out pictures to retell the story in order.

 

 

 

2.  Performance Question:. The teacher will read the story “Jack and the Beanstalk”.  After listening to the story, the student will be able to tell the teacher if the story is real or make believe, name the main character and using the pictures, putting them in order to tell the story.

 

 

     Assessment Tool: Teacher observation, demonstration

 

 

Activity:* The student will listen as the teacher reads the story “Friendship”.  Upon  completion of the book, the teacher asks the class why it is important to have a friendship.  Also, what do we need to develop a friendship and to maintain it.  This will be supported through activities like friendship hoops and cooperative drawings.

 

 

 

 

 

Duration: One 30 minute class period
